Hello, Butler! I am a fourth year grad student in the Molecular Biology department. I was born in Connecticut and spent most of my life in Detroit, Michigan, before moving back to the East Coast to major in physics, math, and chemistry at Harvard. Before coming to Princeton, my interests were chiefly in theoretical biophysics and mathematical biology, and I studied evolutionary dynamics of populations, multicellularity in bacterial movement, and the molecular mechanics of membrane proteins. At Princeton, I decided to get into the wet lab a little bit more, and currently study transcriptional regulation using a combination of experimental and computational approaches. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies from all genres, reading comic books, playing tennis, and dancing. Looking forward to a great year with all of you!
