I graduated from Western Kentucky University, majoring in Recombinant Gene Technology with a minor in Chemistry. I received my Ph.D. from Yale University in Cell Biology followed by postdoctoral research at NYU – Skirball Institute for Biomolecular Medicine. I joined the faculty in Molecular Biology at Princeton in 2003. I have two children, one of which has a rare genetic disorder called Angelman Syndrome.
