Genevieve Allotey-Pappoe

I am a Phd Candidate in the Music Department. My research focuses on the global production, circulation and contextualisation of African music and music of the Black diaspora. My other research interests include the music business/economics of music, digital cultures, music technology and embodiment. I have a BA in Music and Sociology as well as an MPhil in Ethnomusicology and Composition from the University of Ghana, Legon. Outside of academics, I love traveling and exploring other cultures. In my free time, I enjoy game nights, attending concerts, watching broadway musicals and watching soccer.
