Hey everyone! I am a fifth year PhD student at the history department, working on Latin American representative institutions, oppositional politics and constitutional change. I hail from Bogotá, Colombia, the most exciting city in the Western Hemisphere and the one with the best food. After getting my B.A. from the Universidad de los Andes I worked at a think tank dedicated to the study of armed conflicts and as a middle school teacher. I’ve also done some work related to education for peace, which ignited my passion for teaching. I enjoy reading fiction, discussing pop culture more seriously than it deserves, and anything and everything related to art and Art Museums. I look forward to meeting all of you! We can talk mindfulness meditation, feeling embarrassingly comfortable in your second language, or about pretty much anything. Don’t hesitate to introduce yourself!
