Hey guys! I'm Carrie, I use she/her pronouns, and I'm from Westminster, Maryland. At Princeton I study aerospace engineering and I'm getting a minor in Spanish. In my free time I love to make crafts and music or have a game night with friends. I'm also a big animal lover and you can find me at nearly every single dog study break on campus. I'm so excited to be your PAA and share the tips and tricks that have helped me succeed. I hope to be a resource for you all as you learn to navigate Princeton academics, and a source of confidence as one of your biggest cheerleaders. I can't wait to meet you all soon!

What's a favorite memory from your first year at Princeton?
Spring semester of my first year, after taking a night final exam, my friends and I played hide-and-seek in the Andlinger Center for Energy and Environment to unwind. The hider texted photo clues and they moved every ten minutes if the seeker hadn't found them yet. It was great spontaneous late-night fun, and it was exactly what all of us needed after several days of exams.
What's a Princeton class that has shaped the way you think and why?
A class that has shaped the way I think is SOC228: Schooled: Education, Opportunity, and Inequality. I took this class to fulfill a distribution requirement, but it ended up being one of my favorite classes I've taken so far. It really gave me a new perspective on all the factors that go into a student's educational experience, and the way those factors can manifest in systematic inequalities for different groups. It has changed the way I think about my own education and motivated me to want to make changes for the future of education.
