Hi Butler! I'm Anne, and I'm very happy to be an RGS at Butler. I grew up in Bishop, CA, a small town between the Sierra Nevada and White Mountains. I received my BA from Stanford, where I majored in Science, Technology, and Society, and minored in Creative Writing. Following graduation I worked at RAND in Santa Monica as a research assistant for several years. I am now a fifth year PhD candidate in Security Studies at the School of Public and International Affairs, where I study nuclear doctrine. Specifically, I look at the role emerging technology plays in shaping U.S. nuclear weapons policies. In my spare time I love playing flag football, watching sports, and baking cookies.
