Amina Johari

Hello, Butler! I am a second year graduate student in SPIA’s Master in Public Affairs program. I was born in Mombasa, Kenya but grew up mostly in Boston, MA. I moved to Washington, DC for college and attended George Washington University. At GWU I majored in International Affairs with concentrations in International Development and Conflict Resolution. After graduation I worked at the State Department's Foreign Service Institute and then joined the Peace Corps where I was a secondary school teacher in Tanzania. In my spare time I enjoy playing and listening to music, playing games (especially cribbage), watching movies, reading books, and playing soccer and tennis. Looking forward to getting to know all of you next year!
