Bio/Description

Hi, my name is Alison, and I'm a junior from Philadelphia! I absolutely love history and literature, and I'm particularly interested in American and African American cultural history. When I'm not in class, you can find me baking, doing jigsaw puzzles, or obsessing over my dog, Coco. The transition to Princeton can be tough, but I've learned that there are so many support systems on campus, and you never really have to face a challenge alone. These resources on campus have been so helpful for me, and I'm excited to be a resource for others as a PAA.

What's a favorite memory from your first year at Princeton?
A surprise guest lecture from Cornel West!

What's a Princeton class that has shaped the way you think and why?
REL254: Modern Evangelicalism. This class showed me how different disciplines and schools of thought can come together to form a cohesive argument. We brought together understandings of theology, race, gender and sexuality, American history, and more to build an understanding of the course topic. That interdisciplinary approach broadened my perspective of what research and learning could look like, and played a large role in declaring my major.

What's your favorite place to study on campus?
Chancellor Green Library
