Hey there, Butler College! My name is Alex and I grew up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I studied Ecology at Brown University, where I became passionate about the natural environment and the role of public policy in shaping our relationship with it. After graduating in 2016, I worked for the Providence (Rhode Island) City Council as a Policy Analyst. From 2017-2019, I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, working on environmental conservation efforts and environmental education in a rural community. I then served a year as National Coordinator for the Environmental Sector of Peace Corps Panama. At Princeton, I am pursuing a Masters of Public Affairs degree, with a particular focus on environmental and social policy in the US. A former college sailor, I love getting out on the water any chance I get. Otherwise, in my free time, you’ll find me skiing, backpacking, playing frisbee, jogging, doing yoga, cooking up a new recipe, trying to figure out film photography, or mining my friends' Spotify playlists for new music (send me your recs plz). I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone, so don't hesitate to reach out and say hello!
