General Election – November 6, 2018
Voter Registration Information
A general election will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Federal law mandates that every college and university in the country make voter registration forms available to all students attending their institutions who are eligible to vote.
To be eligible to vote in New Jersey one must be:
- a United States citizen
- 18 years of age by the next election
- a resident of the State and county 30 days before the election
- NOT currently serving a sentence, probation or parole because of a felony conviction
Attached is a copy of the New Jersey voter registration form if you wish to register to vote from your Princeton address. Use this form if you have never registered to vote in New Jersey. Also use this form to file a change of address if you previously registered to vote in Princeton and have changed your address since registering. See attached map with district information.
The form has 2 pages. Print it, fill it out and send it to the address on the form. Print it as a two sided document, or print the two pages and then follow the instructions for mailing. The deadline for registration is October 16 (21 days before the election). NOTE: On line 6 of the form, it will ask for your “county.” You reside in Mercer County.
Students can find the location of their voting district and polling station for this election on the attached map. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 6.
