Dear Class of ’25 families,
Greetings from Butler College! We are thrilled to welcome your student to campus this weekend.
I’m writing to share details about what to expect during move-in this Saturday and to invite you to upcoming welcome events for new Princeton families.
Move-in on August 21
Details about the move-in process are on our Path to Princeton website under the “Families” tab. Your student has also received comprehensive information from Princeton housing. As a brief reminder, upon arrival to campus your student will need to:
- Head to the Lewis Arts Complex Forum to check in and receive their TigerCard ID
- Report to the COVID-19 testing clinic on the New South Building front lawn before proceeding to Butler. (Please note that no one but the student may enter the testing clinic.)
- Proceed to Butler college to move in, where we will have a welcome table and students ready to assist!
Getting Settled into Butler
Brunch will be offered to first-year students in the Butler dining hall on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Although we cannot welcome families into the college dining hall at this time, we invite families to explore the many excellent dining options on and around Nassau Street. Students must meet with their Residential College Adviser (RCA) between 4:30 – 5 p.m. to check in, so please plan to say goodbye to your student before this meeting.
A Class of ’25 Welcome Meeting for students and families will be held virtually on Sunday, August 22 from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. EDT at this link: https://princeton.zoom.us/j/91013057740
We’ll also be hosting a Butler specific family welcome virtual event on August 25th at 6:30pm at https://princeton.zoom.us/j/97584002940. This meeting is an opportunity to get to know the college staff and ask questions about life at Princeton.
First-Year Families Weekend will be held virtually this year. Please save the dates for Saturday, October 2 to Sunday, October 3, and visit our First-Year Families Weekend website for details. We will begin posting program information in early September.
The college staff and I look forward to supporting your student as they begin this exciting new chapter of their life at Princeton. See you on Saturday!
With all best wishes,
Elizabeth Mitchell Armstrong
