Originally from London, I came to the States six years ago to study for a PhD in History, which I completed at Yale University in 2014. At Princeton, I am a Lecturer in the History Department and the Fund for Reunion-Cotsen Fellow in LGBT Studies at the Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts. I’m currently completing a book that retells the history of post-WWII gay activism on a transatlantic scale, and I am also starting a new project on sexuality and spies. So if you’re interested in James Bond’s hidden history, ask me over lunch.

In a past life, I used to be a journalist and a theater critic, so expect some group trips to shows at the McCarter and in NYC during my time at Butler as Resident Faculty Fellow. And say hello if you see me on campus or in the dining hall. I look forward to meeting you!
